Per Arne Pettersson of LKO went to Svappavaara, part of the important Ore Line, in Northern Sweden for a VR-Track clearance project (VR Track is a large rail contractor from Finland). Per Arne surveyed 8 kilometers of track after VR-Track performed maintenance. However, to get the 8 kilometer of trackage, Per Arne Pettersson drove a total of 2,600 kilometers from the LKO garage in Falun, Sweden.

Per last month’s newsletter, LKO Teknik AB was the successful bidder in the Swedish Rail Track Authority’s (TRV) Clearance Survey Bid. It covers a two (2) year contract with a possible extension for two more years. The contract is now signed and ready to be launched in January 2016.

The L-KOPIA F-350 laser truck left California and is now in Nevada. The Excursion laser truck is in Denver, Colorado after clearance projects in Wisconsin, North Dakota, Nebraska and Colorado. Part of this survey is a vegetation survey performed annually from Wichita, KS to Seattle, WA.
