Happy Holiday’s and a Very Happy New Year to our customers and associates! L-KOPIA is happy to announce that we have already received three (3) Purchase Orders for 2020. Two are for load surveys in California (January 2020) and one is for a L-KOPIA Laser System upgrade in Canada. The customer is going from the LD_Laser (20 Hz) to the advanced Z+F Scanner (200 Hz).
I would like to take this opportunity to advise customers that the L-KOPIA 2D+1D=3D Clearance Laser System is still the fastest and most accurate concept for clearances data and track center distances. Many North American railroads are using a mobile mapping system for PTC (Positive Train Control) and other GIS (Geographic Information System) applications. This is a great tool for mapping, asset inventory, etc., but is not good for accurate minimum composites which is the base for all load surveys. The L-KOPIA Z+F Clearance Laser System hardware
All mobile L-KOPIA Clearance Laser Systems include sensors for odometer, super elevation and a jpeg camera system (with superimposed heading text) plus optional GPS and AVI video system.
